BEFORE USING A CHAINSAW ALWAYS FOLLOW THE CHAINSAW  MANUFACTURERS SAFETY AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS.

The following information will include maintenance, sharpening  and operational hints and tips that may not be covered in chainsaw manuals.

Be sure the chain brake is fitted and operational. Test before starting chainsaw by pushing chain brake lever (in front of top handle bar) forward. It should take very little effort to click it on and the chain will be locked. ONLY with engine stopped test by hand by trying to pull top of chain in a forward direction, it should not move.
