The AIR FILTER can be cleaned by blowing with an air compressor jet, but first check manufacturers instructions. Before removing the filter, close the choke. Dust around the carburetor can be cleaned with an air jet. Cover the air inlet of the carburetor as well as applying choke to be sure no dirt gets into the carburetor.                                                                        

Before opening fuel or oil filter caps on chainsaw blow or brush away dirt to avoid dust falling into tank.
